I want to stripe my son's bedroom walls, but I'm worried that striping them all will be too "busy." Is it better to stripe just one wall as an accent wall? Also, do you have tips on how to do this easily, without making mistakes as far as straightness goes?
Striping walls is a great way to emphasize vertical line. To avoid a busy look, enlarge the width of your stripe to about 6 inches. Be sure to measure the widths out with a pencil. Use blue painter's tape to keep lines straight. Here's a hint: Use pencil dots to pre-measure the stripes. Start at the top of the wall and measure 6 inches in and 36 inches down. Continue measuring the 36 inches down the first stripe. Place your blue tape on the dots.
